Websthetic is a website design and development studio based in Toronto, Canada. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information We Collect
We only collect the personal information you choose to give us. When you fill out our contact form, we collect:
- Your first and last name
- Your email address
- Your company name, if you provide it
- The type of project and budget range you select, if you choose them
- The message you write to us
Like most websites, our hosting and content delivery providers may automatically record basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is used to deliver and secure the site, not to identify you.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you send us to:
- Reply to your enquiry and talk with you about your project
- Prepare proposals, quotes, and project details you ask for
- Keep a record of our conversations with you
We don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we won’t add you to a mailing list without your permission.
How Your Information Is Stored & Shared
Our website is hosted by Netlify, and contact form submissions are processed and stored through Netlify Forms. Project images are served from DigitalOcean. These providers may store data on servers outside of Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.
We only share your information with service providers who help us run our business, and only as much as they need to do their job. We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies & Browser Storage
This website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t use analytics tools.
A few features save small preferences in your own browser (using “local storage”) so they’re still there when you come back. This information never leaves your device:
- Change Colour remembers the colour combination you picked.
- The Website Launch Checklist remembers which items you’ve ticked.
You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
How Long We Keep It
We keep your enquiry for as long as we need it to respond to you and manage any work we do together, and then delete it unless we need to keep it for legal or accounting reasons.
Keeping It Safe
The website is served over a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we limit who can access the information you send us. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.
Your Rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- See the personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that’s inaccurate
- Delete your information, where we’re not required to keep it
- Withdraw your consent to us using it

Our site links to other websites, such as the client projects in our portfolio and the tools in our resources. We’re not responsible for their privacy practices, so we recommend reading their policies.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
